CAMERA MONITORING
Find out more about renting a Construction Camera
WELCOME!
Nothing adds teeth to a site camera like consequence or response for the predators. Your cameras are now connected to Security personnel who will monitor alerts or live feeds remotely, enabling planned response to suspicious activities. For continued monitoring and camera efficiency, comes a responsibility to ensure your site is always ready for unwanted activity to stand out and not get lost in a sea of movement or mess!
A few things to be aware of with (All) site cameras & 3rd party monitoring:
-
As per our standard recommendation, ensure your site is always kept clean and free from moving objects at all times. Bunting, Rubbish, Trees, Toilet Doors, Skip Bins, Birds, Insects, Passing Traffic and Fence Signage are often culprit to false alarms on site cameras. False alarms will run a camera out of data, shut down your email system (As spam) and black list you from the monitoring centre.
-
In the event something suspicious is viewed, Monitoring Centre staff will act on the instruction you have supplied. Normally phone you and then the Police / or Patrol if required. Please note that Police rarely respond to a tresspass not involving life threatening events as priority, and having your own Security Patrol on standby is often a faster response. Usually the camera sirens will warn people away, and this is the best outcome as prevention is a much better solution than prosecution. Monitoring staff will still report this activity if seen.
-
You now have someone watching! Which means if you have "on site" security patrols, cleaners or contractors, they must be well identified with signage or will be treated as suspicious persons.
-
ALERT SETTINGS:
You have nominated pre-set alert times for monitoring to start and stop on site. It is YOUR responsibility to stop the cameras or notify the Monitoring Centre should these times change as charges may apply.
To temporarily cease monitoring yourself, simply turn off your cameras / or emails on the app. This is an easy short term solution and will stop any alerts going to the Monitoring Centre.
(DO NOT FORGET TO TURN THE CAMERAS BACK ON!)
If a permanent change is required, we suggest you contacting the Monitoring Centre (24 hours) or Hypervision (Week days) below.
Monitoring Centre (07) 3848 1888) 24 HRS

They will require the camera asset numbers / property address
and you must be the contact on the monitoring sheet
Following these easy house keeping tips, will help keep your camera running trouble free and assist in getting the best monitoring possible!
